A basketball coaching clinic in Connecticut
The Northeast Coaching Clinic is a one-day basketball coaching clinic held Saturday, October 17, 2026 at Central Christian Academy, 1505 West Street, Southington, CT 06489. Youth, middle school, high school, AAU and college coaches from Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New York and across the Northeast are welcome. Presenters include Jim Harrick, Peter Vecsey, Pete Gillen, Tricia Fabbri, James Cosgrove and Jerry DeGregorio. Registration is $100 before September 30, 2026 and $125 after.

Jerry DeGregorio
Jerry DeGregorio is one of only two coaches to have served as head coach at the high school, junior college, Division II, and Division I levels, as well as an NBA assistant coach. He was the head coach at the University of Rhode Island men's basketball team and worked as an assistant coach and director of Player Development for the NBA's Los Angeles Clippers. As the longest-serving assistant coach on Mark Jackson's staff with the Golden State Warriors, Jerry played a key role in transforming the team into a consistent playoff contender and eventual NBA dynasty. The Warriors improved from an average of 30 wins over the previous three seasons to 47 and 51 wins in the first year after Coach Jackson and his staff were hired. In 2023, Jerry was inducted into the University of Rhode Island Sports Hall of Fame, and in 2007, he received the NAACP "Special Recognition" Mentor/Coach Award.
Jeff Weiss
Jeff Weiss was a legendary high school coach in New York for 30+ years. During that time, he amassed 625 high school varsity wins, placing him 2nd all time on the Long Island wins list. Coach Weiss retired from coaching to watch his twins play college basketball. His son, Ryan, plays at Brandeis University, and his daughter, Riley, plays at Columbia University. The court at Lawrence Woodmere Academy is named the "Jeff Weiss Court" in his honor.
